Speech-Language Evaluation and Therapy

A Speech-Language Evaluation can determine whether your child's speech is developing normally, and whether or not speech therapy is needed. Based on evaluation results, we develop and implement an individualized therapy plan to meet each child's needs. Therapy progress and techniques are continually updated and shared with the family to ensure communication and learning success. A treatment plan may also be developed from a recent evaluation and/or current IEP goals.

Occupational Therapy

A child's life is made up of "occupations," or daily activities. These occupations include playing, learning, and socializing. Occupational therapists work with children and their families to help them succeed in these activities throughout the day. They also help with basic challenges faced by most families, such as eating, dressing and writing. In addition to motor skills, Occupational Therapists also address sensory integration disorders. Sensory disorders often lead children to have extreme over reactions to what others consider mild stimuli, or to shut down completely.

Language-Literacy Evaluation

A Language-Literacy Evaluation will determine the basis of your child’s reading difficulties and lead to a remediation plan to move your child to become a successful reader and lifelong learner. Many students have “splintered skills” - gaps in the underlying skills necessary to be successful readers. Based on parent concerns, background records and thorough review of records, we customize an evaluation appropriate for the student.
